Topic: Every Problem Has A Solution [Tuesday June 7, 2016]
“And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba” (Genesis 21:14)
Hagar and her son were sent away by Abraham because Hagar was disrespectful. So they began to wander in the desert. They wandered until their water finished, and when the water finished. And when the water finished, the young lad was crying and the mother too was crying. She placed her son in one place, while she sat in another, because according to the Bible, she did not want to see him as he dies. Hagar cried because she couldn’t see any human solution to her present predicament. However, there was a solution from above which she couldn’t see.
Hagar couldn’t see her solution because she was beclouded by her tears and sorrow. The Bible says while Hagar and her baby were still crying, God opened Hagar’s eyes to see the solution to their problem “And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water, and gave the lad drink” (Genesis 21:19). The water was there. The solution was there. Salvation was there. But because it had not been revealed, she did not see it. Sometimes it is your behaviour that is stopping the solution. If only you can change your attitude and behaviour, the solution is there. You will find it. The effectiveness of God’s solution is not dependent on your tears. It is already written. There is an end to every problem. Joy comes in the morning. The salvation of God is constant. What is required of you is to dust yourself from the ground and wipe your tears from your eyes. By faith that your solution is right before you.
